Trade languages used in Sector A1-0 (A1-0)
Sector at large
English, otherwise also known as Austral or Anglish, is the most used Terran language and typically used as a lingua franca within Terran dominated star nations. Although its origin remains heavily debated by both Terran and alien scholars, tales show that this language once belonged to a nation that was a dominant political force on the Terran homeworld. Even surviving the lost fate of its place of origin and retaining its cultural importance.
Eweno is an Owettan trade language created by the Owette in their early exploration period. The language has become widespread within the Tiyanki Territories and has even been adopted by the Zelvan Regime because of its relative simplicity. Eweno remains one of the most popular trade languages use across Sector A1-0.
As many species have been lost to history, few civilizations have been able to leave a mark on the galaxy. One such mark are the remnant trade languages: languages created by previous civilizations that have survived the longevity of their creators. Little is known about these trade languages other than their practical usage by nomadic tribes such as the Zeltrex, Qoxex and the Marcavani. Three such trade languages remain used in Sector A1-0: Ky Sebisti, Kaarja and Car'doshi. Though these trade languages have been on a steady decline as their users are mostly within the Tiyanki Territories and are changing to trade languages based on their own native tongues.
Ukiaresh or Uki-R-Heb is a trade language created by the Galree roughly 18.000 BBT. The native Galrious language is very complex for other species to comprehend and thus a simplified version was created to interact with the rest of the galaxy. However, this trade language has been considered to be the vaguest as only rare smugglers and explorers who are able to travel through the treacherous paths of the Tiyanki Miasma to the last remaining Galreesh planet Galreen
Tiyanki Territories
Kirzax was created roughly 4.200 BBT by the Kirillians to interact with various species while voyaging in their enormous mercantile ships. While its foundation is in the Kirillian Kirix language, it uses many loan words from the Owettan, Yakhari and Zuurqin languages. It has become a popular trade languages to whomever has dealings with the travelling Kirillian ships.
Shen Rolta is a language created in 6.553 BBT by the Kelidune and uses elements from the Thaigur, C'Thulix and Djian-Shai languages in an effort to create a universal language for the Kelidon Dominion. These efforts paid off and as the Dominion expanded its influence through trade, so did it popularize its language across the Tiyanki Territories as a trade language because of its relative easiness due to a fundamental basis from multiple different languages.
Yahrese is perhaps one of the oldest modern trade languages. It was created by the Yakhari roughly 11.500 BBT to interact with various space-faring civilization. Giving the general attractiveness of the Yakhari species, their trade language become an interstellar hit to anyone who dealt with the Yakhari. It should also be noted that many find this language very elegant and soothing compared to the rest of the trade languages. Often being seen as the most poetic of all the trade languages.
Cret'ats is the last remaining remnant trade language from the Tiyanki Territories. It's origin lies with the Kalkatta and was a popular trade language before the cataclysmic events of the Kalkattan Wars from 9.132-9.045 BBT. These internal civil wars spread out to nearly the entirety of the Tiyanki Territories and killed most of the civilizations that used the trade language. Nowadays, the language remains barely alive in some parts of the Territories, but remains alive within the Jo'Dai Order
As the Vurk explored the Tiyanki Territories to spread the words of their gospel, they too created a language to interact with other interstellar civilization. Although originally intended as a gospel language, the Lin Vul'Orin language has become well-known. Though it has been used more as a trade language in recent memory by most civilizations dealing with Vurk missionaries. It remains popular due to its cultural importance within the Wayfaring Guild as its Vurk Navigators are hired to navigate through the Veil's pathways in the expanses of the Tiyanki Territories.
