Insurgency and downfall

On 1 February, 1955, during the Allied invasion of Karnetvor, the Peocracy issued a statement to the people of Arnchow encouraging them to surrender to the Allies, with Arnchow being the last few Imperialist nations left, stating "we have assessed our situation and believe that both the people of Arnchow and the Peocracy itself would fare much better if the Peocracy didn't spend it's war reparation funds to attempt to repossess our colony an ocean away which could end up in potential cost of thousands of lives and damage the economy of Arnchow to no return". Shortly after, the then-Peony of Huawan, Mei Yan, attended a delegation she sent to the city of Hsi'an to negotiate for the Republic of Arnchow to surrender. At the time, the newly-formed Republican government were trying to sue for independence diplomatically, having already defeated the Governor of Arnchow and his forces, even though Arnchow itself had started to fall into disarray with other rebellions, insurgencies and guerilla warfare taking place.
