Duchy of Mauquibie

The County of Mauquibie was was elevated to the rank of a Duchy in 987 following the death of Count Édouard V which also saw the extinction of the House of Ventadour, from that point Charles de Callière was appointed as the ruler of the Duchy and started the House of Callière.

Grand Duchy of Mauquibie

The Duchy of Mauquibie was was elevated to the rank of a Grand Duchy in 1589 following the death of Duke Albert III which also saw the extinction of the House of d'Avaugour, from that point Albert de la Galissonière was appointed as the ruler of the Grand Duchy and started the House of La Galissonière.

House of La Galissonière

Dying without an heir in 1316, the title of Duke of Mauquibie was granted to the House of La Galissonière which elevated the Duchy to the rank of Grand Duchy in 1589 and reigned until 1795.
