The Fortinian Confederacy (Fortinian: Confederation Fortinian, pronounced: [konfedeɾat͡sjon foɾtiɲan]) is a confederation of planetary systems. It's administrative center is located at Centro Station, orbiting X in the X system.

Name

The name comes from the most brilliant star in the confederacy, Fortinia which is located near the center of the territory within the Pinicola stellar cluster. It was also used as the basis for the name of the predecessor of the confederacy, the Fortinian League.

Founded around 2,000 standard years ago the Fortinian League was the first major interplanetary union but was also short-lived.
