The Kosbaran National Football Team (Kosbaraans: Kosbaraanse Nasionale Sokkerspan) nicknamed the Valleyfolks represents Kosbareland in international association football competitions at the senior level officially since 1903. They are overseen by the Kosbaran Football Board.

History

The Kosbaran National Football Team is the name that was given to any squad of players sent to play international football games. The first international game happened in 1913, following the creation of the Kosbaran Football Board. It has been regulated by the board ever since.

International boycott

Many international nations started a boycott of the Kosbaran Team after the occupation and annexation of the Republic of Orange in 1919 and then with the policies established by the Kosbaraanse Partij beginning in 1940. The boycott continued until the democratization of the nation that started in 1990.

FWC 2020

Kosbareland announced its intention to participate in the FWC 2020 in July.

Players

The Kosbaran National Football Team as a long tradition of playing internationally. In preparation for the upcoming 2020 FWC, the Kosbaran as began to unveil the players that would compose its international squad.

Current squad

The current squads of the Kosbaran National Football Team are taken from the best players of the Kosbaran Football League which is the professional domestic football league in the country. Nationals playing abroad are also permitted to be part of the national team.

Women's Team

Uniforms

The Kosbaran National Football Team changed the uniforms in 2020 and granted the design to Sports du Pacifique Sud a company based in Mauquibie, with the task to compose a look that would be able to rally all the people from Kosbareland. The home kit is featuring a pattern in the style of the Flag of Kosbareland while the away kit is featuring the navy blue from the Emblem of Kosbareland, they both feature the heraldic ship of Pieter Van der Merwe in the centre. The shorts on the home kit feature the Emblem of Kosbareland, while the shorts on the away kit feature the Flag of Kosbareland.

Sponsors

The Kosbaran National Football Team has a partnership with many enterprises. Sponsorship on uniforms is banned for international matches, the uniforms can showcase the sponsors on practice uniforms and exhibition games.
